This
map, from Time Magazine April 9, 2001, show greenhouse gas emissions
per capita worldwide. The U.S. is by far the worst offender. The map
was produced using a large variety of software. First the country outlines
were exported from Geocart and then imported into Adobe Illustrator.
Each country was joined into a closed polygon and the six different
colors were saved as separate files. These files were imported into
Lightwave and extruded. I also created a grayscale bump map with TopoToImage.
The smoke was taken from a clip art image and added in Photoshop. |
