Modeling a Brain
My work often requires me to produce medical diagrams. To that end I decided to take up the challenge of producing a 3D model of the human brain with Lightwave. My goal was to create the wrinkled cortex of the brain as a subpatch cage. Below is a description of how I did it.
The first section describes modeling the overall shape of the brain. The second section discusses creating the wrinkles on the surface of the brain. The third section tells about the process of making a spherical UV map to texture the surface of the cortex.
